Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control the budget of the Sales Department.
  • Manage all staff employed under the Sales Department and monitor closely their behavior and performance.
  • Recruit, train, supervise and appraise the sales team.
  • Lead country wide sales team members to achieve sales target.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and maintain statistical and financial records.
  • Enhance staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members, teaching improved processes and mentoring team members.
  • Deal with customer queries and complaints.
  • Identify business opportunities through prospecting and evaluating their niche in the market by researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Sell products by establishing contacts and develop relationships with prospects and recommending solutions.
  • Oversee product pricing and stock control together with Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance Department.
  • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and commending new opportunities and recommending profit and service improvement.
  • Work in conjunction with New Product Development to identify product improvements or new products by remaining updated with current industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Work in conjunction with New Product Development to develop products according to customer requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct periodic tasting and review of products to improve the products offered.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state of the art practices, etc.
  • Organize sales stand at trade shows, exhibitions, seminars to maintain and improve customer awareness and its capabilities.
  • Attend and manage sales stands.
  • Work in coordination with the Marketing Team in developing the planogram of the new and existing retail shops.
  • Categorize and Departmentalize products together with the Marketing Team.
  • Work in coordination with the Marketing Team in developing strategies to enhance image, packaging and branding products.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies.
  • Work together with the Acting Assistant Country Retail Manager and Area Managers in setting sales targets of the retail shops.
  • Any other tasks assigned to him related to his field of work.
