Description
Responsibilities and Duties • Drive financial management of the group in accordance with priorities. • Determine department level targets that carry out the priorities and work with senior managers to evaluate alternatives to operate their businesses according to strategic objectives while staying within these financial targets. • Coordinate budget efforts and maintain an overview of financial position, expenditures within budget, keep Heads abreast of all risks and opportunities to budget targets. • Lead and manage initiatives and find efficiencies and opportunities for shared utilities within the team. • Coordinate and support capacity needs and other resources necessary to fulfil strategic and tactical objectives of team. • Drive cost allocation process including, determining appropriate methodology and represent the company with business partners receiving cost allocations. • work with partners to ensure they understand the allocations, methodology, and their role in cost saving opportunities • Lead coordination of HR initiatives, succession, performance reviews, annual promotion cycle etc. • Lead and further communication efforts for cascading minimum standards throughout and across businesses and functions. • Ensure appropriate infrastructure and facilities in place for the team to execute on its strategic objectives. • Lead and ensure quality and completeness of management-controlled assessments. • look across teams to ensure consistency • ensure companies wide standards are maintained. • ensure handovers and hand-offs relate to the owners. • assist in identifying appropriate challenges throughout the teams. • Keep the heads abreast of all known and emerging issues associated with audits and regulatory reviews. Skills and Requirements • Proven work experience in a similar field • Exceptional writing and communication skills • Knowledge of financial services laws, regulations, and internal policies • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the organization, across multiple cultures and disciplines • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and multi-task effectively • Exhibits strong leadership skills and ability to think creatively and analytically • Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with tactical execution • Possesses strong problem-solving skills • Exceptional team-management and organizational skills
